I bought this after spending three summers sleeping badly and blaming the heat. The real problem was not having the right fan. This one on the lowest setting is so quiet it might as well be silence, just a gentle movement of cool air that drops the room temperature exactly enough to sleep through the night. The timer turns it off automatically. My sleep score has genuinely improved.
The best argument for this over air conditioning is the running cost. I looked it up before I bought and a fan at this wattage costs a small fraction of what AC costs per hour. I've run this every night for two months and the electricity bill has barely moved. I'm comfortable sleeping, I'm saving money, and the noise is so low it actively helps me drift off. Perfect solution.
